Kettering, Northamptonshire

Ofsted rated ‘Good’ educational provisions based in the centre of Kettering, the Study programme is an alternative to 6th Form or college and comprises of two programmes.

Empower Programme starting in September for 6 weeks. Empower focuses on helping students to recognise barriers to learning and start finding how to overcome them, as well as completing teamwork activities, projects, and volunteering challenges to boost their CVs and skills, before starting the actual Study Programme in November.

Our intent with Empower is to bridge the transition back into education for so many that disengaged over covid, or have been out for a year, or were home-schooled/ school refusers, and hopefully help them to be more successful and resilient for the November programme. We still be enrolling in November, for those who missed the September start/ those who went to college, and it wasn’t for them.

N’able programme starting in November is a 31 week educational programme that specialises in supporting small groups of 16-18 year olds and consists of employability skills, maths and English Functional Skills qualifications, work experience and PSHE and enrichment.

Learners will attend taught lessons 3 days a week in Kettering and 1 to 2 days of work placement depending on their career aspirations and personal circumstances.

We pride ourselves on taking a personalised approach to learning making it relevant to individual career aspirations and inspiring learners to feel confident in achieving their next steps. Our tutors are passionate about supporting learners to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their goals. In addition to the academic curriculum, we have regular specialist guest speakers to cover topics such as budgeting and debt recovery, sexual health, MIND , PCSO, drugs and alcohol, fire safety, dementia friends and first aid.
