Daventry Hill School is a co-educational all –through (4-18) SEND school for students with cognition and learning difficulties. We offer a personalised education for students and assistance for families to support their journey into adulthood. We are part of a growing Creating Tomorrow Multi – Academy Trust, and we currently have 3 schools in Northamptonshire and 1 college based at the Chester House Estate. Plus a school in Luton.

As well as supporting our local community we are passionate about working with the wider group as well. As well as education we offer support to employers and businesses to ensure they feel confident with employing a Neurodiverse workforce. We work closely with them to become more disability confident.

At Daventry Hill School we empower our young people to celebrate their differences as strengths.

Spokes Education is a digital learning agency based in Northampton. As well as creating digital learning Spokes Education is a social business, volunteering our time to several charities, schools, businesses and individuals on a range of schemes and projects. Spokes Education has helped build and create the platform and offer several free and personalised employment support services.

TRACK is a social enterprise which is supporting autistic adults to access employment. Through providing training and support services to businesses and creating opportunities for individuals we are helping to change people’s lives. As part of our commitment to creating more opportunities we also work with schools and create resources to facilitate employer and educational engagement.

Hospital and Outreach Education (HOE) is an Alternative Provision (AP) Academy, part of The Skylark Partnership Multi Academy Trust. HOE provides holistic educational support for students with medical and mental health needs that prevent them from attending their main school full time. The AP Academy provides teaching across seven different centres:

  • Two outreach centres: Delapre Learning Centre in Northampton and The Gatehouse in Kettering

  • Two general hospitals: Northampton General Hospital and Kettering General Hospital

  • Two inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHs) units: The Sett and The Burrows

  • One eating disorder unit: The Brambles

  • and within the community.

All students have a diagnosed medical/mental health condition which significantly impacts on their functioning and ability to engage with education. Most of our students are not attending school at all before they are dual registered with HOE as their subsidiary school. Strong links are maintained with their main school and our aim is to reintegrate pupils back to their school as soon as possible.

The role of the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) is to help economic growth thrive across the area including employment and skills development in young people, with support from The Careers and Enterprise Company and working with local partners and schools/colleges to:

  • Remove discrepancies between the skills and attainment needed by employers and those held by individuals.

  • Inform, inspire and raise aspirations of local young people.

  • Enable people into employment and those within employment to progress.

  • Guide all through informed labour market information.

  • Coordinate, facilitate and simplify engagement for all stakeholders.
